MEMBERSHIP AND LICENSING

The eligible Registered Respiratory Therapist (R.R.T.) is a graduate of an accredited educational program, who has successfully passed one of two approved credentialing examinations (either the Canadian Board for Respiratory Care examination or Quebec's Épreuve Synthèse). For Registered Respiratory Therapists practicing in Manitoba it is mandatory to renew their license annually with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists.

The respiratory therapist's practice is governed by guidelines prescribed through Standards of Practice, ethical conduct codes, institutional policies and provincial statute.

All licensed RRTs are members of MARRT. A roster of active practicing RRTs can be found here
